By Harshit This year 1,17000 Students are writing BITSAT to fight for around 2000 Seats at BITS PILANI (800 at Pilani 600 at Goa and 600 for the 1 st batch of Hyderabad Campus )..Way to go BITS ..A student selectivity of 1.7% makes BITS standout as one of the most selective universities in the world ! 1. Google/Microsoft did not allow dualites initially, although Microsoft later agreed.
2. EEEites had a better year of campus with more core companies pouring in.
3. Same with mech and chemical as usual had some fabulaous placements
4. No. of banks visiting pilani also increased this year.(i heard citibank offered 50lakhs)
5. Consultancy firms, on a whole have started to show more interest in engineers. The fact specially reflects in the placements of IITB n IITD.. it has started to trickle down to pilani lately.
6. C6ites faced tough competition with fellow A7ites.. there were some rumours that the instructor in head of the CSIS group has been asking the VC to change the degree to BE but the later declining. In one line, the placements hadnt been good. (of C6)
