1. Info... By Estel I am a student currently doing my final yr at NIT Durgapur and i have got friends in all NIT's.... I can say that rankings given here and concept are wrong..... According to my experience... 1. NIT Warangal 1. NIT Trichi -------------- 9 1. NIT Surathkal 2. NIT Calicut 2. NIT Allahabad ----------- 8 3. NIT Kurukshetra 3. NIT Surat -------------- 6 3. NIT Durgapur 4. NIT Jaipur 4. NIT Rourkela -------------- 5 4. NIT Nagpur 5. NIT Bhopal 5. NIT Raipur ------------------ 3 5. NIT Hamirpur 5. NIT Jamshedpur 6. NIT Jalandhar 6. NIT Srinagar 6. NIT Patna ------------- 2 6. NIT Tripura I have divided into slots..... better to avoid 5th and 6th slots... and i gave the ratings even ------- I prefer college to branch( unless u r intrested in any branch ).. like its better to go for chemical in 1st slot rather than cse in 4th or 5th slot.. decide on colleges according to rankings.... and Some points which many people donot know.... 1. U get last AIEEE ranks for colleges on net ( like 4000 for NIT warangal )... they vary for ur state... 2. Many people donot join college for various reaons.. and there will be an internal sliding by college... i entered my college with Metallurgy and i am in IT now... 3. some colleges have their counselling if the seats are vacant.. even u are eligible for central counselling u may get a chance into col... one of my frens from AP( generally AP guys finish off at 10000) with a rank of 72000 got admission...coz no one knew abt this college counselling and he was lucky... Choose college( Cleverly... not just like that) over branches... ALL THE BEST..... Add your comment
